Using the same towel

It is better to avoid using the same towel used by others. When a person uses the towel, the germs present in that person’s body can be spread to the towel and when another person uses the same towel, the germs or the virus can spread. Apparently, during this time of the pandemic, if a person is affected by the virus, he /she should make sure that their towels or any items should not be shared with others until they are cured completely. It is good to not share any clothes or towels with anybody else even if you are not affected by the virus.

Using wet masks and a towel

Everyone must be aware of the black fungus which is known as mucormycosis. This fungus lives in unhygienic and moist areas. Generally, this fungus will not affect people who have good immunity power. But people with low immunity should take extreme care as this fungus can cause serious illness and will take a minimum of 3 to 6 months to cure it. Do not use a wet towel or mask to avoid creating a positive environment for the fungus to grow. Wash your mask after each use with soap and water. If possible try to dry your clothes, masks, and towel under direct sunlight.

Wearing the same pair of dresses

If we are going out for any reason, the dress we used has to be changed or washed immediately as we reach home. When we are out, we won’t know if the people around us have the virus in them or not. Since we will be spending some time in a common place for shopping for any essentials, this virus can be exposed to your dress. So it is better to change the dress and wash your body immediately when you come back from outside as a safety measure.

Reusing the Gloves

The gloves that you wear while going out must be trashed after each use. You might have seen doctors and other medical staff using the gloves and trash them after every use. They do this because the gloves once used can have germs or viruses and it is not hygienic to use them again. A used pair of gloves must not be shared with others or should not reuse them again by you.

Using the same toothbrush even after recovery

People who are affected by the coronavirus must take precautions in not sharing anything they have used. Also, make sure to not use the same toothbrush you have used while you were infected after the cure. Dispose or burn the used toothbrush after you have recovered and use a new one.

Sharing the same soap

The soap that we use for washing our face and bathing should not be used by others at this time of the pandemic. Usually, in a home, we share the soap, but it is not a good idea to do the same during the time of the covid- 19 virus. Keep separate soaps for everyone at home as a preventive measure.

Unbalanced Diet

Some people are choosy in eating, where some eat anything that they feel like. Unhealthy food creates various health problems and obesity which will result in low immunity. Eating healthy food makes your body strong and active, and also protects you from falling sick. So at this time of the epidemic, it is better to have a healthy diet and try to consume food items that have enough vitamins, nutrients, and other essentials needed for your body, mind, and heart.

The habit of biting nails

Several people bite their nails when they are tensed, bored, or while thinking of something creative or doubtful. It is not a good habit, especially at this time of the pandemic as nails can carry germs or dirt and the covid virus too. So it is better to avoid biting your nails for keeping us safe. We have to also make sure that we wash hands and nails properly and sanitize them to stay away from germs. This is extremely important as the germs present in the nails will straight away go to the stomach and cause serious illness.

Overconsumption of Vitamins and Immunity Boosters

Everyone has the habit of consuming certain food items or supplements more when we find that it is healthier. Too much consumption of vitamins may make you weak and so do your immunity. You will be lethargic the whole day without any energy to do anything. Whatever you eat, make sure that you limit the amount, otherwise, you will create trouble for yourself.

Reheating the food and storing it for many days in the fridge

Many people make food in bulk, and store it in the refrigerator and reheat them for the next day. This can surely reduce the time we spend in the kitchen every day. But reheating the food and consuming it many days is not very healthy. It is fine to use the same food the next day, but do not store it for more than two days. During this covid, it is important to eat fresh and healthy food to keep us hale and hearty.

Not wearing shoes

This is not the right time to walk on your bare feet as the covid virus is spreading everywhere. When you go out, wear footwear that covers your whole feet to protect your feet from any germs or viruses. We all know that some people spit on the roads and sidewalk and you do not want to stamp on it. So wear shoes and clean your shoes well.

Spitting and exposed coughing

Spitting in public is a habit of many people around. Our saliva contains not only water but also germs that sit there for more than a day. People focus less on such habits that create problems for our health and other’s health as well. We should and never spit in public or open spaces as we do not know if are infected or not. So, thinking about everyone’s health, stop spitting in public places and cover your mouth and nose while coughing.

Greeting with Handshakes

At this time of pandemic situation, we have to stop shaking hands with anyone, even when we feel like it. Shaking hands is a very common habit that everyone does when we meet someone. Coronavirus can live on your hands and nails if you do not sanitize your hands often. Even if we did not touch our face, hands, or nose, we don’t know the person has done the same or not. We will have no idea where he/she has gone, touched, and has been in contact with a person who was infected or not. So to be on the safer side, we should avoid shaking hands until the covid -19 is destroyed from this world.

Conclusion

We are aware of the symptoms and causes of covid 19, but we don’t know the common habitual mistakes that we do which can make us ill. Take things seriously to protect you, your family, and other people by following the rules and guidelines provided by the government. Likewise, you should see if you are doing any habitual mistakes as mentioned above and put a stop to such habits that can make you ill.
